This is only a video to show that homebrew is running on my wii 4.2u. Also showing that i can play Back-up wii games. and also use my wii as a dvd player. now this is not a “How-to” Video. This is just showing that it is possible on the 4.2u. Anyways like i said the are alot of videos on how to soft-mod ur wii to get this features. un-fortunately majority of the time they are all from diff users. If i get enough subscribers i will make seperate step-by-step videos on how i have what i have on my wii. Which are: 1. Homebrew Channel 2. how to Back-up your wii games/and how to burn them to disk. 3. Can show you how to hook a removable hard-drive to your wii and just play the back-up games from it instead of putting them on a dvd. 4. Will show you how to be able to play dvd’s on your wii 5. Can show u how to play nes, snes, sega ect… ect… games on your wii. THE FINAL STEP Priiloader is also an optional install, if you don’t want it just skip b & c, but you must do step d, system menu hacks can be taken care of by Starfall (3.2) or startpatch (4/4.1), if you want them click my sig and have a look through my mediafire. There are no system hacks for 3.3/3.4. a) If you are on system menu 4/4.1 use Wad Manager with default settings (IOS249 & SD card) to install IOS60-patched.wad – make sure you do this before you install Priiloader. If you installed it in step 4 then skip this part. Never uninstall IOS60! You will brick!! b). Open the Homebrew Channel and load Priiloader, press + to install. After install, your Wii should reboot and load the Priiloader menu. If it doesn’t, turn your wii off and on again whilst holding down reset and it will load the Priiloader menu. c) Select ‘system menu hacks’ in the Priiloader menu, and enable the hacks that you want – ‘skip disc update check’ and the region free ones are all you need. Select ‘save settings’ and wait for confirmation message to display ‘settings saved’. Press B to go back, and enter Settings. Set ‘Autoboot: System Menu’ using D-Pad, then select save settings. Press B to return to main Priiloader menu. d) In the Priiloader menu select Homebrew Channel (if you didn’t install Priiloader then just open HBC as normal), run Wad Manager 1.4 …

This video will show you how to “softmod” your Nintendo Wii so you can play Wii game backups or downloaded Wii games. Please note if you do not follow this guide correctly it may damage your Wii. We are not responsible for anything that happens. Even if you do not have backup or downloaded Wii games to play I recommend still following this guide because it does a lot of good things for your WIi. Before you start… -make sure you have the Homebrew Wii Channel. If you do not watch this video: www.youtube.com -Make sure you have an SD card formatted to FAT 32 or FAT (2GB or less sd card if your wii is under 4.1, if you have 4.1 you can use any size sd card). -CHECK YOUR WII VERSION!!! You cannot follow this guide unless your Wii is version 3.1-4.1 -TURN WII CONNECT-24 OFF. In my “How to hack your Wii and Install the Homebrew Channel I show you how to do it. You Wii will need to be connected to the internet though for this guide. -THE STEPS- 1. Download these files and put them in the root of your sd card as shown in the video: depositfiles.com -You will need a program called Winrar to extract the files. The wii softmod is the alternative to the wii Mod Chip. There are a few differences between the two. With the wii mod chip you have to open your wii , which does void your warranty, and solder a chip onto the motherboard. This can be a tricky business as if you do not solder it correctly you could damage the wii and make it unplayable, which is referred to as bricking your wii.
